        I will soon be going into the nursing program at Purdue University Calumet and I am now finishing my freshman year.  I have not yet applied to the nursing program but when I do I sure hope there is enough room in the program for me.  I have always wanted to be a nurse, ever since I was a little girl.  Now that the time has come for me to become a nurse I am a little worried about getting into the program.  With the research I have done I have found out that there is a shortage of not only nurses but of nursing teachers also.  So I can only hope that when I apply to the program there will be teachers there to teach me.  I want to be able to help lessen the nursing shortage.
